Team update: Sam achieves Chartered Financial Planner status
It’s been a very successful month here at Fortitude as our colleague Sam has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status – congratulations!
The accreditation is a very prestigious one and will have a positive impact on Sam’s clients. But what does this mean for you? Read on to learn more about what a Chartered Financial Planner is and how Sam’s new accreditation affects you.
Chartered status is a symbol of professional excellence
Chartered status is awarded by The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), which was founded in 1912 to ensure continued high standards in the finance industry.
Chartered status can be awarded to a firm or an individual. While our firm has already achieved Chartered status, having individual planners achieve the status as well reinforces our commitment to excellence in the service we provide to all our clients.
The qualification is a symbol of technical competence and signifies a public commitment to professional standards. It also requires continued professional development, as Chartered Financial Planners must regularly consolidate and update their knowledge of the sector.
Sam’s journey to Chartered status
Before he was able to work towards Chartered Financial Planner status, Sam had to achieve other standards first. He studied for and achieved the Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI).
When he moved on to the Chartered Financial Planner qualification, Sam had to study for and pass 14 exams to achieve this status. He also had to pledge to uphold standards of excellence in qualifications, ethics, business practices and professional development.
With dedicated study, Sam was able to pass the exams and meet the requirements. We’re very proud to announce that he has been awarded Chartered Financial Planner status as a result.
What does this mean for you?
Chartered Financial Planners are part of a prestigious group of professionals who have met very strict eligibility criteria from one of the governing bodies of the financial services sector. This means that by choosing to work with Sam or any of our planners, you’ll be receiving the gold standard of financial advice.
In time, this will help you to achieve your financial and personal goals too. By working with a Chartered Financial Planner, you have access to advice that is based on the most recent data and the highest professional standards.
Chartered Financial Planners and firms have also committed to give back to the community through participating in community and charitable activities. We hope that this will provide peace of mind to our clients and our communities that we have their best interests at heart.
